Microsoft Location in Shops at Mission Viejo
Microsoft released boarded storefront pictures of its first two American retail stores, causing a frenzy of internet chatter from its fans. Microsoft fans are just as avid as die-hard sports fans, rooting for coach Bill Gates and his team in Microsoft’s battle against Apple, Google and other computer and internet teams.
Tech blogs and social websites, like Twitter, have been flooded with Microsoft cheers accompanied by copies of the storefront picture from Mission Viejo. The photos only showed the typical blind wall that shields construction from passers-by, but the image seemed to become a holy grail for Microsoft followers.
Microsoft appears intent on going head-to-head with Apple in the retail market. Its store at the Shops of Mission Viejo will be near the Apple location. Rumors are that Microsoft may move into the hardware business, although it has been known primarily as a software developer.
The other store will be in Scottsdale, Arizona.
