While we need to clean up at the state level too, this is no excuse for not taking action at home where we have the power to do so. Our City Council has been very loose with our dollars. It is time that the spending spree ends and those funds stay where they will be available for necessary upcoming maintenance. Yet our Council keeps spending on would-be-nice-to-haves like there is no tomorrow! [Re: Ury's Bleacher Shades]
Shades at our local sports venues is only the latest proposed lunacy! The fiscal irresponsibility of our Council has been remarkable and it is high time that an end is put to it. If Ury can’t take the heat he should get out of the kitchen! Or bring an umbrella!

It appears that it doesn’t matter at what level of government we talk about; these people don’t have a clue. I don’t know about anyone else but I’ve worked to long and hard, paid my taxes, served my country, to see my tax dollars being flushed down the toilet at all levels of government.
Vitamin D is an essential vitamin for all of us. It is a proven cancer fighter – and also studies have linked a lack of vitamin D to prostate cancer. Current research has implicated vitamin D deficiency as a major factor in the pathology of at least 17 varieties of cancer as well as heart disease, stroke, hypertension, auto-immune diseases, diabetes, depression, chronic pain, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, muscle weakness, muscle wasting, birth defects, periodontal disease, and more. Vitamin D is released from the body by exposure to the sun. People who get limited sun exposure be better off without bleacher shades.
