Three Silverado High students were recently honored by the local Kiwanis Club for scholastics, citizenship and community service.
Mads Laugesen has high achievement in math, assisting fellow students as a tutor. He will return to Denmark following graduation to join the Danish navy.
Jessica Fielding, a junior, is an Honor Roll student intending to study at Saddleback College to become as a teacher or nurse.
The third honoree, senior Cassandra Chew, has exhibited outstanding citizenship. She is an Honor Roll student with perfect attendance, and she wants to study at a culinary academy.
