Former CUSD Superintendent Woodrow Carter had his lawsuit dismissed Friday in Superior Court. Carter was seeking a buyout for 18 months of the remaining 28 months on his contract at the time he was fired.

On Monday the Council will consider conducting a $15,000 survey to determine if residents want to launch an effort to consolidate Mission Viejo Schools into the same district. The survey would also pose questions about local school closures and the desirability of charter schools.
