How nice for the kids – having a friendly ambiance during the reading programs will contribute to an all around fun experience.
I love the idea of encouraging kids to read – but do we really have to spend over $300,000 to remodel? How about all the talented artists in MV – could they not contribute some time to putting a mural on the wall? We could have a whole house built for $367,000+.
$367,000?
I wonder if the good people of Mission Viejo would donate time and some materials to remodel this space. How many people will this job employ? Will they be residents of the city? Just wondering… there’s a lot of people out of work these days and that’s a lot of money.
MVEA, the city’s largest Home Owner Association, spends about $270,000 to water our common areas for a year. MVEA has a little less than 10% of all the city residents. Don’t you think this rehab of the library is about $300,000.00 overpriced ??
@Laurie – The bids will be open to everyone. Just depends on who wins the bid.
