I think Ventosa’s cracks got you beat.

I think Balerma, and Herencia are just as bad. I have personally sent city manager Dennis Wilberg over 150 pictures of streets in deplorable condition. Mr Wilberg’s response was “Thank You”.

The cities 7 year cycle on street maintenance is just not working!! Many of the repairs that have been made are marginal at best.

The last time I checked, Mission Viejo’s city-wide pavement condition rating is 88 out of 100. That would make it one of the best in the county.

What I see watching this video is not a big deal. I don’t see any potholes or crumbling asphalt. All I see are small cracks, old cracks with grass. (You probably have cracks that size in the foundation of your house.) Cracks might make the street look old and neglected but that is superficial and it does not create a safety issue. These look like streets that are not driven on much because one, it can grow grass, and because they are not through streets. Maybe residents could try weed killer on the grass to make it look better.

Be happy your street doesn’t need to be redone every 5 years because of potholes and crumbling asphalt due to heavy use and fast drivers.
