Saith Na
An escapee from the Theo Lacy jail was found at 5:30 a.m. Saturday in an Oceanside Motel after traveling through South County. Local authorities had issued a warning Friday requesting public assistance finding the heavily tattooed 26-year-old Saith Na.
Na was discovered missing during a routine head count. Jail personnel were unable to immediately identify how he escaped. The Cambodian male was in custody for weapons possession, criminal street terrorism, robbery and narcotics.
Theo Lacy is an 11-acre facility handling a large number of immigrant detainees. Detention Watch Network and 300 other organizations have called for its closure as one of 10 detention centers nationwide with unacceptable conditions.

Close the detention centers and move them all to a tent city in the middle of the Mojave Desert like Sheriff Joe’s.
