Mark Dobrilovic has notified supporters he is terminating his campaign for a City Council seat. He wrote:
Due to personal, family and rapidly expanding business obligations, sadly I am forced to suspend my campaign for City Council.
While I believe I am right on the issues and have a winning platform of smaller government and fiscal restraint, due to mounting obligations I feel I will be unable to mount a continued and sustained campaign for City Council. I believe if I will not be able to give 100% of my time and effort, it is neither fair, nor right to split the conservative vote.
We have several very qualified conservative challengers on the ballot. I will be completely supporting them and their attempt to bring fiscal sanity back to the city of Mission Viejo.
There is not sufficient time for the Registrar of Voters to withdraw his name from the ballot or his statement from the voters pamphlet, so Mark is urging voters to cast their vote for another fiscal conservative.
Mr. Dobrilovic is an investment consultant who serves on the Mission Viejo Investment Commission.

This is a very sad day for the citizens of Mission Viejo.
Although I have never met Mark, I know of him and he is just the kind of person we need on the City Council. Hats off to Mark for having the courage to make the tough but right decision to put his family first and be straightforward and forthright with the citizens of Mission Viejo.
I see 2012 in his future and we can look forward to that momentous election. Bless you Mark and your family. You will never regret putting your family first.
I agree with Rhonda. It is a sad day for the Citizens of Mission Viejo to see Mark suspend his campaign and out of the race.
Mark’s platform was a good choice for a New Face at City Council.
I wish Mark and his family well in their endeavors. Perhaps in the future we will again see Mark’s name on the ballot.
