The Mission Viejo Nadadores captured the combined men/women’s team championship Saturday at the 2010 USA Diving Age Group National Championships in Tuscon. The men placed fifth and the women third, but their combined score outpaced 34 other teams. The locals scored 145 points to defeat second place AAF Rose Bowl Aquatics Club (137) and third place Stanford Diving (127).
Scoring for the MV men were AJ Eckebrecht (19), Lester Wright (14), Matthew Casillas (11), William Ryan (10), and Noah Canan (3). The women scorers were Samantha Gallagher (24), Annie Whelan (18), Heather Yoshii (11), Tabetha Krebs (9), Payton Gabris (8), Allyson Wood (8), Steffi Wilson (6), and Rachel Reeves (4).

I am jealous of good swimmers…I almost drowned taking swimming lessons when I was little. Still love swimming, but it is pure art watching the true swimmer breathe to the side and not take in water with it. Great job, Nadadores!
