Stella Guinta has been named to succeed Rick Sandzimier on the City’s Planning and Transportation Commission. The outgoing Sandzimier, who is termed-out after six years, was an appointee of Councilman Dave Leckness. Leckness selected Guinta as his replacement from among eleven applicants.
Guinta listed her occupation as Complaint Manager/Marketing for Allstate Insurance in Irvine. She has worked for the company for 25 years and was Allstate’s liason with the California Department of Insurance, which monitors insurance companies.
“I feel these skills will assist me in making the right decisions for the city, homeowners and business owners,” she said.
Stella will be sworn in at the 6:30 p.m. commencement of Monday’s Planning Commission meeting in City Hall. The Commission works largely on issues of zoning, development, code enforcement and transportation.
