Letter: Camping With The Council

October 13, 2011

Welcome  to  the  first ‘campout’ with Mayor Dave Saturday 10/22 to Sunday 10/23. Join Dave Leckness, Frank Ury, Trish Kelley and possibly some city employees for a one night campout (this should be enough for most of us). Listen to the gang of three, Dave, Frank & Trish, around the campfire (built in one of the [...]

March 5, 2011

The Fire Authority will consider instituting fees up to $878 on new MV homes fitted with fire sprinklers.  The fees are being recommended for all OCFA cities by the Authority’s staff “to reflect the contractual increases to salaries and benefits.”    On Wedneday the OCFA Budget and Finance Committee is scheduled to make a recommendation to its Board of [...]

Trish Kelley’s Conflict At Fire: L.A. Cases

January 16, 2011

An editorial in the L.A. Times Thursday, plus a legal opinion reported in San Diego this week, may be instructive regarding an alleged conflict of interest by MV Councilwoman Trish Kelley. She is MV’s appointed representative on the Board of the Orange County Fire Authority, where her son is an employee union firefighter.      The LA Times editorial reviewed the cases of LA County [...]

Letter: Council Majority Lacks Mandate

January 3, 2011

According to election results the incumbents do not rule the roost; the majority of voters rule. Letter: Trish’s Trash

October 29, 2010

I am paraphrasing, but she alluded that Skalsky committed a crime since he didn’t talk to the police after witnessing a crime. That turned out to be a COMPLETE LIE. She made up that little story and emailed it out to all [...]

Letter: What Happened To Trish?

October 26, 2010

I used to be a Trish supporter just like Mr. Pilger, and I was drawn to her really positive image.  I remember I used to see her holding big signs up when I would drive to Saddleback Church.  She always seemed like the only person on council I could count on to show some real [...]

Letter: Kelley’s Latest Whopper

October 26, 2010

Mayor Trish Kelley has made some outlandish claims in her re-election bid to the Mission Viejo City Council, but perhaps the biggest whopper of all is her claim she is “Protecting the California Promise…Mission Viejo.” Conversely she is part of the old council majority which dumped “The California Promise” slogan and replaced it with “Make [...]

Letter: MV Political Favors

October 1, 2010

If council members continue to pay favors to the city vendors, they know it comes right back to them in the form of election donations or “favors” such as the taping of the candidates’ forum on incumbents’ turf. Until someone gets a needle and thread and sews pockets shut in Mission Viejo this cycle will [...]

Republicans Turning Away From Mayor Kelley?

September 7, 2010

Last week the Republican Party’s OC Endorsement Committee interviewed Mission Viejo Mayor Trish Kelley and rejected her bid for re-election to the City Council.  Kelley, a registered Republican, was endorsed by the OC Central Committee four years ago, but likely will be turned away this time after the Endorsement Committee formally reports its unanimous recommendation.    [...]
